    Default What is this fish?

    I have looked in all the books I have and just can't figure what fish this is.
    Any ideas. Saw thi @ Tori's in August.

    Going by this I would guess a Leatherjack.

    I would vote for horse-eye jack, based on the "stitches" near the tail. Compare to this picture:

    I agree with leather or horse-eyed jack. Thanks for the help!
    I was confused because in most books they are flatter than this fish
    more like a palometa.

    I think that the downward looking angle had a lot to do with it too, kjpursley. Most fish book views are more broadside. BTW, what sort of UW camera did you use?
