We have been to Bonaire many times, but have never tried the dive from La Dania to Karpata. We have dived Karpata a few times, but I don't remember anything in particular that I would recognize to tell me I had reached the exit at Karpata. Any suggestions?

There's a good-sized anchor embedded in the coral just below the reef drop-off at 35', about 5 minutes or so south of Karpata entry. Below that the reef drops off pretty steeply with several deep canyons, so it's pretty easy to find yourself in the 30' to 40' range at that point. There's also a giant vase sponge at 35' straight below Karpata entry, and an obvious cactus-like fire coral at 15' to 20'.

If you're still uncertain you might use my info to find the anchor and sponge during a Karpata dive, then reference them later when diving north from La Dania's Leap.

Here's a couple photos of the anchor that I linked from other's posts:

t's one of my favorite dives.
Leave your gear with diver at La dania and drive to Karpata.
Look at the waves and at the possibility to exit.
Then walk 5 minutes back and make your jump.

Thanks. Long walk back to Karpata if the waves are too high to exit.

That's why i do the walk without equipment :-) Maybe it's a 5 or 10 minute walk
Better find out in advance that you have no exit at Karpata because of the waves.

Is there a marker at the jump-off at LaDania's? I've only done it from a boat, so I'm not sure how to find it.

The obvious entry is pretty easy to spot when you walk down the path from the road. Here's a video from someone else that shows it pretty well.
