Hi guys and thanks in advance for your help :)!...I have been checking out the Rijksdienst site to know about the options to settle in the island and according to them getting a residence permit seemed to be just quite simple, they say foreigners just have to fill out an application if they want to establish themselves in Bonaire, so I would like to know if it is true, is it?

It's not quite as simple as it sounds ... we got great service & went thought the process with the help of Agnes Joosten. Agnes also helped guide me through the process of starting a small biz on Bonaire. Highly recommend you get a knowledgable local to help you though the residency process. There are a number of unwritten rules.

Warauno -

I agree with Kevin, and would advise you to use Agnes to help with your application for the first time you do it. There are a couple of other people on the island who do the same thing, but Agnes does a good job, and the cost is reasonable and well worth it.

Good luck with your application.
