Anyone know if there's much sidemount diving on Bonaire yet? If so, who's doing?

Yep, it's available. Most of the dive shops that have technical dive instructors on staff, as well as those that focus only upon technical diving, all offer it. Off the top of my head, Rec Tek (Walt), Dive Friends, and Buddy Dive all offer it. Others may too, but those I know do.

Thanks, Susan :) Will check in with Walt when I am on island in October.

Apart from Buddy and Walt, Chris @ Dive Inn (Dive Friends), I think Jeff Kempf @ the Fundiver and on request also at Divi Dive. Good luck!

Thanks, all. I am a Sidemount Instructor Trainer (PADI CD). Was just wondering what was the level of sidemount activity on Bonaire, as I had not seen much when we were there last fall.

I come down twice a year, over half the people are sideways. Think we had 11 in January, maybe 6 coming on the november trip.

For anyone wondering "What is sidemount diving?"... check out Steve Bogaert's amazing buoyancy and finning skills in the video below. I haven't seen any of his Razor harnesses in the wild, but the simplistic designs (i.e. not a lot of extra buckles and straps etc. seen on some caving rigs) seems well-suited for warm water diving.
