What type of booties do we need to access the snorkel sites from shore. I already have some 2 to 3 mm scuba booties but will I need thicker ones with a more rigid sole?

We bought some great boots at the Carib Inn located on Bonaire.
It is just North of the Plaza Resort. They have a nice hard sole for
walking on the rocks. Take your fins with you when you buy the boots to
make sure they will fit .

Check out this previous thread discussing booties (http://www.bonairetalk.com/forums/showthread.php?72176) for shore diving (and shore snorkeling.)

Thanks, this last thread was also helpful. I now realize that my current booties are to thin for Bonaire and we will all get the ones with thicker , more rigid soles.

I really like the Deep See Echozip. I think Carib Inn has them. The best part is that there's no seam on your ankle to give you a blister. Thick enough to get in and out without feeling too much but very flexible as well.

I have a pair of TUSA's that are perfect for Bonaire. They kind of have the sole that comes up the side of the lower foot. Rigid but very comfortable.
