Coming in on Copa to CUR , changing to Insel to go to BON. Is 45 minutes enough time for the plane change?

I would not be comfortable with the turn around time. You need to clear customs, leave security, get boarding pass, pay "in transit" $2 US charge, clear security. In December we had an hour and if the flight to Bonaire was delayed by an hour we would not have made the connection :)

Thanks, Gordo. Sounds like we'll look for a later flight to BON. Did you have to get your luggage and check it through again for the BON flight?

My wife and I own a condo on Bonaire, so for the first time we were traveling carry-on, but I believe that you do need to get your bags and drag them over to the check-in counter.

Normally 45 minutes is to short.
We did it in 30 minutes once, but had a lot of cooperation from the Divi staff.
They escorted us through customs, helped us with the luggage (after custums), advanced the airport tax, escorted us past the luggage line and brought us to the counter of Divi and then again to the customs.

I would feel more comfortable with 1,5 hours

After you've checked in your luggage, you can walk around a little or take a seat at the bar or on a terrace. Nothing fancy, but it helps passing the time
