Anyone going on this flight this weekend? Keeping my fingers crossed re the weather & hopefully NO security problems.

I can't speak for the weather this coming weekend but I was in that flight down on Jan 9 and returned on Jan 16 and the security was much less of a hassle than I was expecting. We got to JFK 3 1/2 hours before the flight and made it through security and sat around for a very long time. Better safe than sorry though I guess.

I think the matter is entering the US perhaps where it is more tight..leave extra time leaving BON. Sat. must be a flightmare with KLM, Arkefly, Delta and local carriers all leaving around the same time..any comments?

Jerry and I will be on this flight, connecting from Boston. 2 more sleeps to warmer weather, fabulous snorkeling, and some windsurfing for Jerry! Jibe City here we come!

Just did the delta trip on the 23rd. Left Shelter Island NY at 5:40 AM, The car was at the parking lot at 7:30, through security and at the gate at 8:00, plane left gate at 10:25 and we land 45 minutes early at 3:30. Line at immigration was very long because the Atlanta plane landed just ahead of us but through immigration at 4:30, picked up the total truck and where at food store for a few quick things for breakfast and in our Condo by 5:00 for a cold Bright. That is so much better than or AA trips through Puerto Rico that took us 2 days and did not land until 9:30 PM if you were lucky...last year we got to the Condo at 2:00AM
