I am having a really hard time trying to get info on renting a cell phone while I am in Bonaire. I will be there from 3/30 - 4/6. I sent several emails to the cellular one email address and I tried to call thier number but got no response. I would appreciate any info anyone has.

You can get a cell phone from cellular one and the rental fee is waived with the purchase of nafl 150 in air time. I know that folks have a problem getting answers from Cellular one. They are closed on Sat when you arrive and perhaps you should take Gerard's suggestion and check with Hertz.

Friends of ours who joined us in Feb had minutes loaded into their own cell phone ( with Cellular one). They were first given phone cards which turned out to be very confusing--. Not sure if you need to have cell-one as your carrier at home to do this--

You need a TDMA phone in order to have CellOne or Telbo program a new phone number into your phone here. Ideally, you should have a phone with dual (or more) NAMs so that you don't end up having your phone's main number overwritten in the process.
