changes since 2011

Hello fellow snorkelers. My husband and I have been to Bonaire several times. We're having trouble figuring out exactly when, but it looks like our last visit was in 2011. I just went on-line trying to see what kind of storm damage Bonaire might have experienced since then, and it didn't look too bad. But I've read that waste management and cruise ship dumping has also been an issue in recent years. Anyone have any thoughts of changes we may see and particularly any snorkel sites we may find much improved or much degraded.

If you were there last in 2011, you'll likely see little change from damage but thanks to coral restoration efforts, some areas have considerably more staghorn coverage.

Overall, coral coverage is as good or better than 2011 in most areas.
