Can anyone post what the current water temp is and approx visibility. Heard the viz is down lately. We are arriving in Oct and just checking on current water conditions.

Water temperature right now is at least 83, depending where you're diving and at what depth. We're not getting any coral bleaching yet, which is good. (Last fall after a hot summer we had some spots, but they healed themselves when the cooler water came in winter) The water should be as warm or warmer in October, last year it was over 85 some places in October.

Visibility tends to vary according to the spawning habits of the sea life, where you are diving, etc. The visibility this morning at Andrea 1 was about 50 feet.

As mentioned, temps are running about 83-84 @ 75-85’. Visibility was great a week or two ago (75-100’ at that depth) but recently went down just a bit. Today, Red Beryl had 100’+ visibility but a very strong current to the north that actually forced us to scrub (first time ever) we just couldn’t find a depth out of it so came up with air enough to go down elesewhere.

As for October ... who knows, it’ll still be great anytime though.
