    Default Bringing tanks to Bonaire

Question has anyone brought tanks down to Bonaire. We have a house in Belnem and we paid a lot of money for shore diving this year. A new tank on the island is between $225 and $250. Is it worth it to fly two tanks down from the States? My feeling is to just buy them down there but I have some friends that are telling me to take the valve off put them in my luggage and bring them down. I know the airlines want you to declare them. What does everyone think?

Keep track of the dive shops, sometimes you can score a deal. We picked up 1/2 dozen old CIEE bottles from VIP Diving for a great price. Repainted the necks and now they are ours....
