    Default Delfins Resort

    Hello BT'ers-
Was wondering if anyone has had the opportunity to tour the property of the new Delfins Resort? Looks nice. Just curious.

went to it last year for a visit and was very sleek but not our style as community pool and people everywhere. Dive shop nice but forget diving or swimming from the facility as we went diving and just terrible as shallow with lots of current and wakes. If one wants to have a sleek place to stay it will likely fit your style but we prefer house in the hills with a pool and view and not 100 of our non friends being around us as just not what we feel is a vacation away from others.

The wife and I have walked through the place and had a dinner at the Restaurant last week. The Hotel itself is indeed very modern and clean, and it depends on what you are after for a stay. If you are a private sort then a private villa in the hills, or on the sea is most likely your best bet. We go both ways, sometimes a private lot/pool is good and other times the daily service offered at a Hotel/Resort is in order. It is far enough off the road so my guess is noise would not be an issue. We had a private rented Villa on EEG last year (#70 IIRC) and the road noise was not nice. We now own sea-side in Sabadeco Court so road noise is also not a concern anymore. The meal we had at Delfins was very nice, a limited and somewhat funky menu but the actual food was very good and the service was also good. No real idea on the rooms/suites, but we did sit beside a couple who said they liked the suite they had.

We did get a tour of the suites and facilities. Very nice modern rooms and a cool pool. We ate at Table 14 which is on a pier one evening. Outstanding 5 course meal.

The shore diving didn't look inviting though. Dive Friends is the dive operator.

If you want a nice sea view and pool with new facilities it would be for you.

Just looked at the menu. Interesting, but rather expensive!

Table 14 at Delfins was 100 bucks for a 5-course meal which included a glass of cava wine. We did not go away hungry. Wouldn't do it every night but only on special occasions.

    Hello all.

I recently stayed at Delfins (2019 February Break) with my wife and 14 year old daughter. I was with a large group of divers and their families. Overall my experience was good. We had a two bedroom garden view lower unit. The room was clean and everything worked as expected. The beds were comfortable. We had breakfast included in our package, it was really good. We got a nice selection of breads that were fresh out of the oven, fruit, eggs, and a meat and cheese selection. We had waffles for the kids and those of us with a sweet tooth. (The waffles had cream and nuts and were great).

The staff was very friendly. They had smiles and were helpful.

Others in our group had some issues. Some of the rooms are brand new, they were the first to use them and they weren't quite finished. I expect they will work out those kinks with time. Small things like AC Units that were clogged with construction dust and didn't work until the filters were cleaned, fans that weren't installed (But they did have covers on the outlets, it was safe). The small private pools for the large 4 bedroom units are in a wind tunnel with the construction zone and had a lot of construction dirt blown in. All in all it was just new construction pains.

They are constructing new units, it didn't bother us, we heard some drills occasionally but it was pretty far away from everything we were doing.

The location is beautiful, it was never crowded, and there is a beach bar for a cold drink within reach.

I would recommend it, but if you are renting the large 4 bedroom units make sure that it's one of the ones that is finished and not one that they are finishing up the week you arrive.

    John
