The new Bonaire Reporter refers to Insel as a "Zombie Airline". Just waiting to die. The 1 jet needs a very expensive maintenance procedure called a C check and Insel has said they will not fly it. The 2 Fokker 50's will soon need the same C checks according to Bonaire Reporter--which is online--google Bonaire Reporter.

Just an FYI, the airport flight data system is dependent upon third-party sources for flight updates, and if Insel's flight changes are not loaded into the system in a timely manner, what you see might not be what is correct. It is recommended to contact the airline directly, and this is clearly stated in the flight data section of the airport's website.

A couple of quick facts regarding Insel Air. The Dutch government will not allow government employees to fly Insel. KLM has stopped codesharing with Insel. See Curacao Chronicle and Bonaire Reporter.
