Default Sunwing From Toronto on Sundays This Winter

For all the Canadians (and American friends close enough to the border to make it work), Sunwing is offering Sunday flights non-stop from Toronto to Bonaire this winter priced from a modest $595 in Canadian pesos; about $466 USD, all taxes in, depending on dates selected.

The web site only shows 7 and 14 day options, but if you phone, they can give you longer stays. We are booked 4 Feb to 11 March at a slightly higher price.

We are looking forward to, for the first time, being able to get on a flight here and getting off right in Bonaire just over 5 hours later without the anxiety of mis-connecting in the USA or Curaçao and the joys of dealing with neither of the TSA/CBP or Insell Air.

It looks like they suspend the route for the season on April 22, but if the route is profitable, they could re-start next winter.

And that's a round trip price, about half the price of the direct flight from Newark to Bonaire.

That's a great price and being near Syracuse Ny, we have flown out of Toronto to other islands in the past. We paid all in roundtrip USD $679.00 for Syracuse to Atlanta to Bonaire when booked it back in June and it's a lot more now if you can even find it. Will be looking closely at that next year after return in April. Thanks for the info.

We'll be on this coming Sunday's flight --- just for a week. They had a very attractive package at the Divi, which we took also. We're in Rochester, NY --- it's about 3-1/2 hours to drive to/from Toronto. The timing of the flights means we'll actually stay overnight in Toronto at each end of the trip, which we're fairly used to doing... Haven't been on BON for 8 years ---- SOOOO looking forward to being back! This time, no diving, but will definitely jump right into snorkeling.

BTW, the Sunwing website says that BON airport transfers are included. Does anyone know if this is REALLY true? If so, is it well-managed, getting the closer people dropped off first, or do they just wander around?
