Yes, it's a stride off from a well-worn spot not far above the water with good depth. Probably not the spot for everyone to go in at once. Takes around 40 minutes to get to Karpata, depending, of course, on how many turtles and such delay you. I a great snork, lots of coral and fish.

thanks for the info--will put it on the list of dives/snorkels to do this trip! My wife will be soooooooooooo excited to again leap off a safe place into the water just like oil slick!

    Hi,
I'm not familiar with this spot. Where is this site near? Would it be a good spot to take a 77 yr old (who is capable of snorkeling Bari and Andrea reef)?
    Thanks,
    L

It depends how fit the 77 yr old is.
Check your exit at Karpata first.
The strong waves at the exit could be tricky.

I know everyone is different, but I wouldn’t recommend it for a 77 year old. The walk out to the jump provides many opportunities to twist an ankle or fall onto some pretty nasty and sharp rocks. Then you’ve got the wave crashing exit at Karpata. Just my 2 cents.
