Default Shooting the Milky Way on Bonaire

I would love to hear tips/advice of anyone who has photographed the Milky Way while on Bonaire. (Even examples would be great.) A couple of weeks ago I made my first attempt down at the Willems Toren Lighthouse (e.g.,https://goo.gl/2Dztq7). I was very happy with the results but I am sure there are many more opportunities for some creative photography.

    Gerard .... Dankeschön !!

Those Milky Way Photos are awesomely wicked, I would be over the moon (no pun intended, as with a moon it's more difficult to get night shots) to get a capture like that!!!

May I add the Panorama view as a screen capture to your Post, as I know a few people are wary of clicking links, if anything I reckon seeing a sample would encourage more clicks

Sure! And thanks! I was really happy with how this one came out. But that only makes me more excited about exploring this further.

Default Done, @ all visitors - see original post

Well you certainly have inspired me to have another go at it, I'm on Holiday in Denmark next month on the island of Fanö, so far enough from the mainland to hopefully try it out.

I tried without a tripod a few years back whilst on Tenerife, drove up the Volcano there above the cloud line, just rested the Camera on the Car roof, not a good outcome -_-

Great shot. I would be interested in what settings and lens was used. did you use 400mm to compress the shot or 30mm to widen? And do you recall Fstops and shutter timings? Was shutter open for few seconds or minutes.

Gerard, that's incredible! Is there a link online where I can reference your work on my facebook page (if you allow it). Thanks!
