    Default Northeast travel

We have had a horrible time trying to secure airline tickets from the Northeast. We found a flight with United that goes from Bradley International in Ct. but we have to leave on Fri., stay over night in Chicago, catch the early flight to Houston and then on to Bonaire. This is all in March of this year. Coming back we did find a flight from Bonaire to Atlanta and back to BDL. Has anyone done the trip from Chicago, Houston? Seems like an awful ordeal but the only way we could get to the island. Do you have to pick up your bags in Chicago and transport them the next day for that Houston flight? Help. Going on 15 years flying to the island and have never ever had this much trouble.

We just did a flight on Dec. 27th a Sunday out of Newark. We flew in from
Chicago on the 26th and spent the night. Yes , you have to pick up your
bags and then re-check them the next day for Bonaire. Have also flown the way thru Houston
coming back last to Chicago in November.

Check the Sunday flights on United and also on Delta. Maybe you will have better luck.

We use JetBlue out of JFK on Tuesdays direct to Curacao and connect with Divi. We have also used American out of Bradley to Curacao via Miami and then Divi to Bonaire.
Have never had any problem with either of these carriers/routes. We like JetBlue as it is direct to Curacao.

Jet Blue to Cur to Divi or Insel to Bonaire are okay but we had problems last summer when Insel was four hours late leaving BON. Missed the Jet Blue flight and were forced to buy four one-way tickets to JFK for the next day. $$$ It's great when it works but...

We were always told that Divi was the most dependable of the two. In last five trips we have never had a problem with Divi...just sayin
