Michael ... have you thought about some nominal incentives? For example, if someone donates $1000+, they get their name in a plaque in the airport ... if they donate $250+, they get a free rental truck for a week ... if they donate $100+, they get free tanks & weights for a week from one of the local dive operators ... if they donate $25+, they get a certificate with their name as sponsors of the project ... and so on. Might be worth a shot. Of course, you'd have to get the airport, rental car company, dive operator, etc to agree to donate, but most I know on this island are generous when it comes to helping these kinds of things.

Hi Michael, which AVI ramp are you looking at purchasing, I noticed the "Lite" seemed to be the easiest and quickest to operate instead of the one that wraps around. Plus it would be more efficient as far as boarding and deplaning... just curious. The video was great on the "Lite".

We have quotes on the lite and a more substancial one. We will need two in any event. Stlll undergoing scrutiny re costs for maintenace, wind factors, etc.

If you look at the "aircraft compatibility chart" on Aviramp's website, it seems that you'd at least need one that would service something as big as a 737, which would mean the "Regional" model. Not sure what Delta is flying these days, but if they still take the 757 down there, you'd need the next one up from that, the "Continental" (which maybe they should rename the "United"? ;-p) to fit that aircraft. Not sure what KLM is flying into Bonaire these days . . .

Good point. KLM flies the twin engine Airbus A330 into BON. Also, Arke flies the Boeing 787 Dreamliner to the island now, and I assume that aircraft would require the larger model ramp.
