Default Any recent stays at Divi Flamingo

We stay at the Divi Flamingo every summer in the timeshare area. I've heard that they are doing some renovations. Just wondering if anyone has been there recently and has some pics or some updates? We will be there in June, but curious about what is happening!

We were there in October 2014, they were doing a bunch of work around the property, mostly walkways and walls and such. Did not notice any changes to the rooms.

I walked through the South end of the property yesterday to get to the dock for a snorkel trip on the Woodwind. I did see that the swimming pool was completely torn up. Looks like a complete rebuild.

We stayed at Divi in January. The time share pool has been renovated and is almost complete. the hotel pool is also being redone. Both are being converted from a salt pool to a mineral system. It is a very pleasant system. The area in front of the ti,e shares will be a sand area with some shade areas. All the trees have been removed. The Flamingo Nest is being completely rebuilt and there will be spas on the terrace. I understand rooms in the hotel are being upgraded but we did not stay there. The time share suites are being upgraded with new refrigerators, stoves and changes to the lanais planned. New pool furniture is on-site but not yet placed at the pool. Finally, a washer and dryer is on site and will be instaled son.

Wow! Thanks for all of the info. Can't wait to see when we are there in June. When you say the area in front of the timeshare do you mean the area that's currently grassy across from the casino?

32 days and counting. Can't wait for some heat and see all of the timeshare people we see every year. YEAH!

Yes, the area in front of the casino. When we were there, it was a sand strip with no shade at all. Frankly both my wife and I thought it was a pretty awful idea, especially as the area was so nice with the chairs in the grass, and the trees. If they put some shade there, it will be better, but I still don't get the sand thing. Oh well, I'm not on Bonaire to sit in the sand anyway!

Bob T post an update when you get back!

Kimfair- I liked it with the grass and chairs as well! Those palm trees were so beautiful. Sad that they are gone.
