    You totally misread my post.. I asked WHY? The stupid question was mine, not yours...I taught English for years and it still amazes me that I still mess up...It should have read..I have a stupid question! Why?

    A couple of the references I saw showed the channel between Klein and Bonaire at 660 ft/ 201 m.

    As one who has done the swim to Klein for charity (Jong Bonaire), I can confirm that the other posters are very correct ... the wall drops off very quickly on either end and there's really nothing but dark blue to see for 90% of the swim. Much better snorkeling at many places on the island, including Tolo, going on the Woodwind, many sites at Klein, etc.
