Question Homemade jams and dried fruit

    Hello,
Does anyone know where I can get homemade jams and dried fruit on the island, packaged to bring home? Thanks

Highly recommend the "Flaming Flamingo" line of sauces, marinades, bbq sauces, glazes, dry rubs and flavored sea salts which are locally made by Wil and Sue of Wil's Tropical Grill. They can be purchased at Wil's restaurant, or at the arts & craft market downtown when cruise ships are in town. The selection is varied to suit all palates, from fruity to spicy and in between. Not only do they taste great, they are very attractively packaged for gifting - if you're willing to part with them. We stock up on every visit, and every recipient raves.

Marjan from Plantage Mi Ramada (see http://www.infobonaire.com/souvenirs.html for more details) does home-made jams and chutneys. She does an open-kunuku one day a month, but you can contact her and make other arrangements. There are others who do the jams and dried fruits as well, usually available at the Kriabon farmers market the first Saturday of each month. I'm not sure the dried fruits will get by U.S. customs though...............
