Default Dinner Suggestion, Walkable from Divi

Hi Experts - So on our first and last nights we'll be sans car and staying at the Divi. This means we'll need to walk to dinner.

Do you have any suggestions of a good place to go with kids? Our daughter (12) is an adventurous eater, while our son (8) is typical boy. Not a big fan of veggies, but most everything else is fine. Not interested in fast food. Fancy might be ok, but not formal.

Please let me know what our best choices would be. Thanks!

Yes Stay right where you are at the Divi.. the food is good and the kids can play a HUGE game of Chess on the lawn., I believe there is also shuffleboard for them too... not sure if they have a special dinner that night but it is relaxing at the little restaurant overlooking the sea........ make reservations for the Special dinners as well as the other restaurant just in case.....

and don't forget happy hour on the pier , every day I think it is at 5;30 - 6;30 1/2 priced drinks..... the kids can swim right there on the little beach while you photogragh the sunset and in my opinion.. one of the best places to see a green flash have fun

Agree with Freddie, we have always enjoyed Chibi Chibi (at the Divi), and the view is the best.

Well, if you guys think Chibi-Chibi is good, we will give it a try. Couldn't be more convenient. But we could use a few more suggestions for our last night. Anyone else or any other ideas?

    Thanks.

You're within walking distance of many good restaurants. If you like Italian, Capriccio's is toward the south end of the street along the sea, not far from the Divi, and you can sit outside or inside (air con). Food is excellent.

Unbelievables is very good as well and not a bad walk
Life shouldn't be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a well-preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cigar in one hand, beer in the other, body used up, totally worn-out and screaming, "WOO HOO, what a ride!"

Take a look at the Info Bonaire website. The City Cafe is pretty decent with a nice view. We always go to Bobbejeans for BBQ. Cactus Blue is good too. Casablanca if you would like beef for dinner. But, go to Gio's for gelato.

Any of the restaurants in town are really within walking distance of the Divi. At Sea is very close and excellent, It Rains Fishes, City Cafe, Unbelievable (very close), are a few of our favorites!

All of the above are very good. The Plaza Beach Resort also has a BBQ on the beach on Tues. eve.
It is very good . They even have local live entertainment. They limit you to one plate of meat
but all of their delicious salads you can eat. Have fun !!

Bob, Cactus Blue closed mid-last-year in their prior location. Now, Hagen runs a small mobile catering truck down at Kite Beach (Atlantis Dive Site) on windy days when people are kiting.
