I am at a loss...Sicilian Caponata without olives is just wrong...my mother would say (CB you've heard me imitate her so imagine that) "are you duzibots, caponata without olives is a sin I swear, your grandmother would roll over in her grave"

(duzibots is slang for numb in the head)
