Hopefully Bonaire will have that same requirement....seems to me proof of vaccination requirement would be easier to deal with than the PCR Test requirement...
Understood....but won't the vaccine make the PCR test positive? Vaccinations in the U.S. "could" begin in mid December.
Nice! Did you happen to hear anything while on island about how they may handle entry requirements for those who have been vaccinated?
Moderna's vaccination data is in....over 90% effective....
Makes sense...they were saying today the bulk of americans should be vaccinated in the March - April time frame....I've got Bonaire trips scheduled for May, July and September so trying to anticipate...
I'm wondering, if you were vaccinated, would you have to still get the PCR Test for entry or just supply the documentary proof of the vaccine? The Pfizer vaccine, as I understand it, is over 90%...
Anybody heard what might happen for entry requirements when people start getting vaccinated? Its my understanding PCR test would be positive in reaction to the vaccine.
Don't know it this will help....www.testfortravel.com
Looking into 2 bed accommodations near Something Special/Dive Friends Yellow Sub Dive Shop. I've got 7 divers total but cannot find 7 beds in this area. Normally rent a house with 5 beds near the...
Delta just cancelled by mid September flights....I have a class scheduled on Bonaire...I plan to change it to September 2021.....
Right...sorry...I should have been specific...I am referring to Bonaire only....
Are you sure about the 72 hours before departure Smits? As I stated earlier, the Bonaire Reporter stated that that is no longer a requirement.
You're right but its irrelevant because the vast majority are not going to do that. Its tantamount to sneaking onto Bonaire. Whats critical are the requirements once Bonaire's air space opens back...
The existing rule is sort of irrelevant isn't it as Bonaire airspace is closed to high risk countries. My concern is what is required once airspace opens back up. I can't meet a 72 requirement at...
The last paragraph of the articles states the following...."Bonaire has had to drop its requirement that visitors test negative within 72 hours prior to their departure."
I read it in the Bonaire Reporter....looking to confirm...apparently, the requirement violates Bonaire Privacy Laws....
Its my understanding Bonaire has dropped the requirement for a negative COVID test within 72 hours of departure. Is this correct?
Frankly, I'd be more concerned about whats coming off cruise ships than whats coming off aircraft from the U.S. where everyone is required to wear mask in flight and, I assume, would also be required...
Any word on flights from the states?
I tend to agree with Pillpusher....plane loads of people coming into Bonaire every day anytime in the near future seems risky to me...we've already pushed a May 2020 trip into May 2021 and I've still...
Agree with Mel on the cruise ships....
Great report as usual. Dive shops are still issuing the plastic marine park tags? It was my understanding paying on line was now the only option. Is this not correct? Thanks in advance.
Does anyone to know if either Warehouse or Vander Tweel has ground beef? I've been in both many times but never really noticed...also, does anyone know where we can by charcoal and charcoal lighter...
13 days and a wake up until next trip....wondering if some one knowledgeable
