Yeah, my wife and I made the very difficult decision to not even try to go on our usual October trip to Bonaire this year. I just don't want to deal with the hassle of maybe getting flights, only to...
Thanks!
Does anyone know what happened to Serge? He was always so nice to my wife and I, even though we're not divers.
We last went in 2016 just before they closed apparently, and felt it wasn't nearly as good as it was in the past. When we went back in 2017, it had closed, and we frankly, were not surprised.
It was my understanding that since this year is the 50th anniversary of the tags that they would give out the tags in shops only (not online), but that after this year there would be no more plastic...
Yeah, we preferred the older, more roomy outdoor spaces, but the insides of the rooms were getting VERY dingy, and they really needed to be updated.
We stayed in one of the new rooms last October, and it was really just an outside issue. We never kept the room slider open for very long anyway. It did cut down on our eating breakfast on the porch,...
We were there in October, so they were open, just hadn't heard of them. Will definitely hit them up next trip.
I'd never heard of it, but I will definitely try to go there on our next trip to Bonaire.
I've just posted the second week of my travel blog on our October trip to Bonaire. It can be found at the same address as before

WE have a debit card that charges no fees. We load it up during the year, and use that almost exclusively for groceries, restaurant meals, and souvenirs (though I mostly buy gifts now, as we've been...
There are ATM's, but the fee I got for using one once was $12.50! I generally bring a few hundred $ in cash.
Gio's is some of the finest gelato we've ever eaten.
I knew Renee was ill, but did not know she had passed. It's very sad. She taught my wife and I how to look for the small things in the water, and even now I can hear her "Woo Hoo!" in my head. A sad...
Dash is great. The donuts are greaseless, light, and airy, and the breakfast sandwiches are great. We love Cactus Blue burgers (lionfish or beef), and the food at Kite City is also excellent. Make...
Weird. You're the first person who has reported this to me, and I just went on myself and checked, and had no issue. Do you have this issue with other websites? If so, your browser may be out of...
Just an older GoPro. I set the camera to take video and pull a still frame every 5 seconds. If I don't get a good shot of something, I go back with a program and pull off a still frame myself.
What we do is we have a debit VISA card, and we use that as our primary card on Bonaire. It's cash, so we have no fees (unless we go over what we have on it), and we don't have to worry about paying...
Usually only see the Glassy Sweepers on night snorkels or at Tori's reef during the daytime.
Good to know. It seemed like it would be quite nice in the proper conditions, but it just wasn't that particular day!
Happy New Year everyone! I have finally finished week two of my travel blog on our October trip to Bonaire. You can read it all at the address below:

Thanks, everyone! The next week will be posted in a week or three. I think some of the pictures in week 2 far surpass those in week one.
I have posted the first week of our October 2018 Bonaire trip on my travel blog. The second week will go up soon. I hope you enjoy it!
