Beautiful shots! I guess this is a stupid question but....who creates the totems? Inquiring minds want to know:D

@KOB baby beach doesn't have one. no need to as there are other good references you can see from out between the waves. Also, both of the ones posted in this thread are just trash and do not mark easy entry/exit.

The 'totems' are build by locals. Some of these totems are like an add-on to the yellow markers as an entry site for (experienced!) divers.

A former collegue of my dad has made several of them.

Thanks, Bas. I wondered why I couldn't find it last fall. Used to be one with a baby doll on a stick ... I think that's how Baby Beach got it's name, no ??

yup, rummageing about in my photobucket account, still can't find what I call the "atomic" sunset. I know I have it somewhere. Both of these were taken at Buddy Dive.

Returning to the theme, a different type of Totem, a stone one:

Two versions of a watercolor made from the second photo in this thread:

and finally the previously mentioned 'Atomic Sunset'. These pics had been buried in an old file

Glad you like them, I do as well. I wish I could take credit but it is not my work. I supplied the pictures and I had an artist make them as a gift for my bride (of 34 years so far). I liked how they came out almost 'Japanese' in style...

Dean -- those watercolors are really neat. Exactly the kind of artwork we are looking for our place at LBR and maybe even our home in Cleveland. Would you mind sharing the name of the artist. You can pm me if that's better. Thanks -- KOB.

kob, the pics themselves are about 4 inches by 8 inches. Our effects are still in transit from London but 'should' arrive any day now. When they do and get unpacked I'll look for the artists name on the pics...

Ii know she was in Montgomery County Maryland but it has been a looooooooooooooooong time since I comissioned the paintings and I can't remember her name.
