As regular visitors will know, the local language of Bonaire is Papiamentu. Papiamentu is a Creole language that is a mixture of Spanish/Portuguese, Dutch, English & Arawak. It is a fairly simple language in its structure & the indigenous locals will really appreciate a few words of greeting. Of course, just about everyone speaks English & Dutch but why not have a go. Here are a few links with some basic phrases and a translator : :)
